I wouldn't say that.It opened here in some obscure theatre and the director wasn't reviewed well. After I saw it there were some choices that were made that I didn't get..also I think some acting was all one note.
She is so talented that I hope the reviews don't stop her from making more movies.
Her first one was great.

And after a lengthy delay Amazon is finally shipping "Helen" to me - my credit card had expired during the wait LOL.  Hopefully it will turn up in the next couple of weeks

I absolutely agree with this, without any DO NOT.

Finally a little publicity for the film.  Here's an interview that Ashley Judd did on the today show.....I hope.

Yes, 'Mostly Martha'... lots of wins and nominations. I didn't see 'Helen' but I like Nettelbeck's work in 'Mostly Martha'.

alberta, her movies are too dull, in my view. There is no action, I don't mean that there should be some pistols, bombs and all this stuff, I mean her movies need some culmination - and there is none...( e.g. The action in Michelangelo Antonioni's movies is also very slow, but there is something in his movies that makes them breathtaking.)

What I see in Sandra's movies?
- the action goes so slow, that I can't focus on the subject and follow the gist
- I don't feel I'm interested in the movie, I just watch it and see the interiors and the leading actors with no chemistry at all between them (don't know why but I really don't see it in all of her movies)
- this slow-slow-slow “action” can't captivate me.
Boring.
Though the cinematography by Michael Bertl is good.

So, I don't like both “Helen” and “Mostly Martha”.

And when I agreed with “She is so talented that I hope the reviews stop her from making more movies"  without any DO NOT, I meant that I don't like her movies but she can shoot whatever she wants.
