I am so excited!!! Jordan and I are heading out after work to see Tyler Perry in Madea's Happy Family. I think our stop is one of his first in the south. It's a one man (or woman) show .. and I can't wait!
if you didn't know - I have the hugest ever crush on Tyler Perry .. sigh

it is truly inspirational, funny and uplifting. Jordan and I laughed, we cried, then we laughed some more.
I feel so blessed to have seen this. Tyler Perry is truly one talented man.
and to hear Madea sing "pants on the ground" made me spew my Pepsi!

he is most famous for his Madea character. A loud, brash older black woman. His movies though are normally very thought provoking and have a message threaded through them. They most always show how strong women can be. Madea is a mix of women he knew growing up - like the voice is based on his aunt.
He is truly an American rags to riches story. At one point he was homeless - he know has his own movie/TV studio in Atlanta and a big ass mansion.
